  Begin at the sacred Pashupatinath Temple, Nepal's most important Hindu pilgrimage site and one of the holiest shrines dedicated to Lord Shiva. Located on the banks of the sacred Bagmati River, the temple complex attracts devotees from across the Hindu world. The pagoda-style temple, adorned with gilded roofs and intricate wood carvings, exemplifies traditional Nepalese architecture.   Continue to the magnificent Boudhanath Stupa, among the largest Buddhist stupas in the world and a UNESCO World Heritage Site.   Later visit the historic Kathmandu Durbar Square, the ceremonial heart of the old city and former seat of Nepal's Malla and Shah kings. Highlights include Hanuman Dhoka Palace, Taleju Temple, and Kumari Ghar, home of the Living Goddess Kumari.
